    Yummy for my doggy’s tummy

I can only say good things about this salmon oil from Zesty Paws.My dog was having really bag skin issues. He was itching a lot and his fur was becoming dull and dry. After incorporating this oil into his daily meal routine for a few weeks his skin has started to change. His fir is so so soft and shiny and he has been itching less. There is a fishy odor so just be careful if you spill this on your clothes or hands to wash it off right away. The quality of the product is very good. The packaging is great and the bottle is durable and well made. I also liked how a pump too was included which was a nice perk. This salmon oil is a great value for the money. I will be repurchasing as my dog loves it and I have been loving the results!

    Great product

This stuff is so helpful as an additive to our dogs food. One has itchy skin and hot spots and just some of this in his dinner helps manage the itch so well. They both like the taste and I like the shiny coats!

    Salmon Oil is a MUST

I have been adding Salmon Oil to my cats’ wet food every morning. I saw results immediately (3 days) and my cats love the oil. My cats started having shiny and soft coats without needing to brush them! They no longer have dandruff and able to get their Omega vitamins. Please get this for your cats, it’s a bit pricey but it’s a great price you’re paying to improve the health of your cats. You’ll honestly probably save money by preventing a vet visit.

    Good product

This was recommended to me, and I’m glad I tried it. I put 2 pumps in my dog’s food and he seems to love it! I’ve definitely noticed his fur become very soft and shiny. The only down side is that his breath smells fishy now.

Border Collies coat is looking amazing

Alright, let’s dive into the wonders of Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil! 🐾I’ve been using this formula for my border collie, and wow, what a transformation! Seriously, I can’t stop raving about it. Before trying it out, my pup’s coat was just…meh. But now? It’s like I’ve got a whole new dog. His coat feels incredibly soft to the touch, almost like a plush toy. Plus, it’s made a noticeable difference in the shine department—it’s as if he’s strutting around with his own spotlight! For anyone with a pup who needs a little boost in the fur department, this stuff is magic. Not only did it enhance his coat’s feel and shine, but knowing that it’s packed with those omega-3 fatty acids gives me peace of mind that I’m supporting his overall health too. If you’re considering giving it a shot, I’d say go for it—you might end up as pleasantly surprised as I am! 🌟

His coat has never been shinier

Our vet recommended fish oil for our Frenchie’s joints. He has been on this for 4 months and his coat is so healthy and shiny. I can’t tell if it’s working to help his joints, because he can’t tell me if his joints hurt, but he doesn’t walk or move like he has joint pain. I would recommend it for a healthy coat and joints. I agree with what the others have said, the bottle does leak, even if you pour from the flip top on the cap. You have to keep a paper towel underneath or wipe it off after every pour to avoid getting it on your counter. Also, I would recommend increasing the dosage amount very, very, slowly, otherwise your dog could get diarrhea. It took several months for my dog to be able to tolerate the full dose. I think it is a good value for the money, and I will definitely continue to use it.

PHENOMENAL!! The results speak for themselves. My senior dogs look fabulous!

Once in a year or so I write a review on Amazon. I’m going to have to give it up to this Salmon Oil product. My goodness! It’s not that expensive and it lasts a good amount for two large dogs that I have. I’m still on the first bottle. My 9 year old is a Dalmatian/GS mix, but looks like a black lab. She’s a shorthaired beauty, and this summer she shedded nonstop; even with lots of grooming and baths, her coat looked dull and she had a bunch of itchy hotspots behind her ear, belly, and whisker area. She was miserable when she couldn’t relieve her itch. I tried dog hydrocortisone spray and she hates anything that sprays. She scratched the back of her ear with her thick claws so much it left a bad wound! 😞 I started adding the oil to their food. In just as little as two weeks I saw a huge difference in her fur! It was glistening!!! It’s been 3 weeks now, and her wound completely healed, I couldn’t even figure out where it used to be. She isn’t scratching anymore, and her black fur – it’s so glossy and shiny that it could blind you. Lol . As far as my other dog, my 13 year old Chow/GS mix, her fur is much softer and easier to comb , looks like a Farrah Fawcett blow out. Even for senior dogs – it can still make them look gorgeous. I’m satisfied with this product a lot. I would buy it for my friends who have dogs. I wish I had taken a “before” pic to show you the difference.

    Kitty Fur Balls: B-Gone!

A decade+ ago, 2 newborn, sibling kittens, inner city-abandoned, were rescued by our caring police, turned over & nurtured through infancy by our local vet hospital. Sisters Silky & Sahsa adopted us, full of excitement & endless purring, when they were just 10 weeks old. They slept, ate, played, were perfectly potty trained, got spayed / had all their shots, & have filled our family with love & laughs, while gracefully growing into their 65 yr old human equivalency years. Our child (now adult) has progressed through elementary, middle school, HS, & has just graduated (away University) Magna Cum Laude with BA degree (while working continuously through all 4 yrs, straight A’s/ Deans list); & has immediately secured well paid employ. Naturally, we believe our cats enhanced & supported these successes (!) 😀We’ve always fed them highest quality, grain free food (dry), w fresh water every day. We live in Upstate NY (country / suburbs). They’re indoor, short haired, dark torties. Over the past few years, especially during Spring thaw into Summer heat & humidity, they’ve been hacking up loud, frequent, & (mostly) non-productive attempts to upchuck the fur plugs amassed in their complex, multi-stage, digestive innards. (“Complex” compared to humans.) Upon observation, cylindrical “plugs” of densely compacted fur are obvious, once expelled- Not stinky, not gross, not mixed w anything gross, just saliva.I googled around a bit, & quickly learned that these fur plugs are just *exactly* as commonly described by vets- cylindrical shaped, tangled masses of fur, (1-2″ long), compressed into this shape by the intestines, not gross at all, just fur coated with a little bit of spit (not vomit). Apparently, the fur is supposed to pass out the other end (in much smaller amounts, little by little) into the litterbox, before it ever reaches such a large, tightly compacted, defined mass of fur- And, IF cats need to throw it up, it’s supposed to dislodge & be expelled within 1-3 (-ish) attempts. Ongoing, “unproductive” upchuck attempts, are a warning sign that your cat’s digestive system is at extreme peril of complete blockage, is a medical emergency- potentially life threatening & may require immediate surgery- So, unbeknownst to me, my cats’ recent years of endless throwing up small-large amounts- sometimes of entire meals, other times just of frothy spit- were life-threatening warning signs! It seemed that they’d go on for a week-10 days, until finally expelling (vomiting) up a fur plug. Seriously, they’re unmistakable by size, shape, composition. 🙀. Cause to begin with, is excessive fur & Velcro hook-like tongues- They just swallow way too much of their own fur, when grooming.I should add here, that as much as we love our cats, I alone support my family / pay the bills. I’ve owned pets in the past, & have learned the hard way, that as much as we love our pets, I’m not a billionaire, not going to sacrifice our family’s entire financial security (& my own future retirement), on vet fees… That being said, I’m not heartless, I certainly don’t want our furry family members to suffer, unnecessarily.Google to the rescue again- I very quickly id’d *exact* symptoms, & was surprised to learn what an immediate, urgent, lethal condition this was (cat trying, unsuccessfully, to cough up a fur plug, from so deep inside their digestive systems).P-R-E-V-E-N-T-I-O-N is the key to alleviate suffering & avoid unnecessary early death by excruciating intestinal blockage.A few frequent recommendations stood out as totes feasible- i.e., mixing a teaspoon of canned, mashed pumpkin into their food for added fibre, to help them poop out accumulated fur (tip: freeze individual portions in ice-cube trays, thaw as needed- ingenious!); And or, mixing a small amount of healthy oil into their food (ie, up to 1 teaspoon/day leftover meat juices/oils, olive oil, fish oil, etc.). Yay Amazon! Reviews astutely warned against starting w too much all at once- 1 poor reviewer fed her tiny dog a teaspoon per meal to start with, he suffered severe diarrhea & dehydration for 2 weeks… I certainly wanted to avoid torturing my cat’s. In fact, our cats can pick out a fraction of a pill in a mound of yummy tuna, so I was very wary wether they’d eat food with this at all. So, I bought this small 8 oz bottle to begin with (even though price wise, larger bottles are a fraction of the cost per. ml.).1st day- Opened/unscrewed bottle, shook contents well, pumped standing oil in dispensing tube, back into bottle, re-shook, & re-pumped freshly shaken oil into their dry food- Just 2-3 drops. They sniffed, they liked, they gobbled! (It has NO strong fishy smell). After a few days- 1/2 pump onto food, mixed well. They loved it! I did a few days of 1/2 pumps, all OK. (Trick is to watch color & consistency of poops- If too much oil is given, stool will be lighter in color, looser, & supposedly buoyant in water). All was OK. I moved up to 1 full pump daily for several days, then 1.5, & now 2 (allowing several days each). We’re at 2 pumps/daily (2 cats: 11 lbs & 14 lbs). Directions on bottle indicate this is the proper amount for our little fur monsters, they like it, their fur is soffft, bowel habits ok. For now, it seems their stools are noticeably less dry, I imagine must pass easier/more comfortably. I’m a far cry from their age (65!), but for now, at the very least, I have to imagine pooping easier is a nice comfort, at their age! We’ll need to wait a month or 3 before we can discern wether there’s any intestinal benefit, though. I don’t want to overload their systems, by increasing the dosage- Ill stick with the manufacturer’s recommended daily dosage. It’s just SO easy to mix it in their food! I keep the bottle in the fridge with a zip lock bag. It stays liquid, & doesn’t solidify. They love it, no adverse effects, now we wait to see if it helps. Next time, I’ll buy the larger bottle! 😻

    It works!

I have 2 dogs. My cavalier, who’s 9, when I got him he was on a poor diet, underweight and seemed shut down. He shedded sooooo badly and I’m not putting that lightly. No matter how many times I brushed him more hair would fall. During our first vet visit I addressed this with her, my concerns, and over a handful of visits got him completely vetted. We put him on Purina Pro Plan complete essentials and I was told to give it time. Let’s try this first before we start throwing other things at him. Lol. It could simply be he wasn’t cared for with his most basic needs and this alone, with lots of love could do it. So we did. Time has passed, he’s happy (a completely different dog) and healthy! However, there is still some excess shedding left and some dry/itchy skin.I also, unexpectedly, found an 8-10 week old puppy on the side of the road in grave condition. Skin and bones. Got her to the vet quickly to see what we could do, if anything. For a short period of time I was at war with myself, if I’d keep her or what (Can I do it, take on a second dog? Can I take on a puppy, at that!?) All these questions running through my head. That didn’t last long though. There had to have been a reason we crossed paths and this little soul needed someone to care for her. Life has already been so cruel to her. I told her, the puppy, and the vets office that she’d have a home with me if she made it through the wkd. I promised her she would never have to worry about a thing! I’d give it my best shot if she did too. I’d spoil her rotten. She made it through and that significantly increased the odds of her making it! So she came home with me and we started her journey of recovery. She too had allergies when I found her. Goopy eyes, rashes on her belly and itchy skin. The vet said it should clear up on its own with some proper nutrition, a good bath or 2 and time. From the looks she’d never seen a bath or probably the inside of someone’s home. She was matted, had ticks and very dirty. She’s now my very smart, healthy teething little velociraptor, with the exception of some itchy skin and an occasional rash or two that come and go.I decided to put both of them on the chewable version, Skin and Coat bites by Zesty Paws. I didn’t really notice much of a difference after a bit, so I switched to this. I should’ve in the first place! This is a godsend! I will never not be without it. It’s a subscription item now. It’s been 2 weeks and there is less hair loss in general in this house and on my furniture….and me. I’m not constantly vacuuming, using a Chom Chom or a lint roller. When I brush my cavalier there isn’t just gobs and gobs of hair coming out. How he didn’t go bald baffles me. His coat isn’t where it should be yet with the combination of diet and this supplement, but I strongly feel we are on the right track and given some more time that will be accomplished! My Aussie mix puppy, her itching has decreased substantially and since starting this 2 weeks ago, I haven’t seen one rash!I drizzle this over their dinner. Both love it! I do keep this refrigerated as it states and give it a bit of a shake prior to pouring (me thing). I sorta wish it wasn’t orange though, that seems so…. unnatural, but it works, so I ignore it.

    Dramatic Improvement in 7 Days

I WISH I had a before picture, but my kitty would be absolutely covered in dandruff after brushing. After about 10 minutes of intense flea combing and brushing (she has a minor flea issue at the moment), there is about 5x less dandruff than she usually would after brushing. Her coat as always been on the softer side, but around the last year or so it has gotten dull and very dry, as well as having very senstive skin on her rear where she doesn’t like to be touched there. I’m glad I’ve found this as it seems to be working well for her. I just put a full pump in a little bit of Friskies Tuna Shake and she doesn’t mind it at all, and she is aburdly picky. It also seems like it didn’t bother her stomach much if it did, her bowel movements are just a bit softer. I can’t wait to see how her skin and fur looks after a month. Her skin is already starting to look less dry and is far less sensitive than it was.

    Great Product

Love this for my pup! Only use it with the pump though, otherwise it makes a terrible mess and runs down the bottle. (Have bought it without the pump before. Lesson learned.) Add in just half a pump to her morning dry kibble and she’s good to go. I firmly believe the oil helps her skin and coat in that it relieves itchy dry skin. Have used it for three years now. Would recommend!

    To help pets stop scratching.

It does help my dogs & cats stop scratching. The dogs love it. I put it on a corner of their food so they can get it all. I draw it up in an eye dropper for the cats to be sure they get it all. I have gone to giving it every 3 days as daily and every other day seemed to be too much (diarrhea issues).

Great for kitty dandruff. NOTE: This needs to be refrigerated!!

Dandruff was ruining my beautiful black cat’s otherwise flawless goth aesthetic, and one pump of this per day has shown a 95% improvement. So now I have yet another expensive pet product to add to the rotation. SMH.My cat doesn’t mind it on her wet food, but she looooves her wet food (Wellness Core is amazing) so YMMV. She do be smelling a little fishy, but it’s a small price to pay.Notes:THIS NEEDS TO BE REFRIGERATED! The disclaimer on the bottle is wayyy too small (plz fix, Zesty Paw team). Also, if you’re like me and were wondering why it’s more pollock oil than salmon oil, Google says they have very similar health benefits, so don’t fret.

    Great

This product seems to have started working within days. DAYS. My senior cat was grooming herself more than usual and seemed to be developing a hot spot near her ear. I started adding the recommended dose of this oil to her breakfast about a week ago, and the spot already looks like it’s healing. I’m giving it to all three of my cats because why not? They all seem to like the taste. It’s very easy to administer and isn’t as unpleasant as I thought it would be in consistency and smell. It is a large bottle at a very reasonable cost. I will definitely be repurchasing.

    Makes fur silky

We adopted this cutie who had been living off the streets eating who knows what and his fur was alittle course. We started adding this fish oil and probiotics to his meals once a day because we were worried about all the time he spent eating out of trash cans. We are about halfway through the bottle and his fur is now really silky smooth. The picture was taken tonight.

    My Dog LOVES This!

My dog is a food-motivated pug! I’ve never seen her get so excited when I prep her chow! The only issue for me is that she eats it way, way too fast! It’s only been a short time, but I’m hoping that her itchies will go away. I also love the convenience of the pump, as it’s easy to add to her food.

I don’t have much to say on this product. My cat is an extremely picky eater and refused to touch this either on its own or mixed in with her food, so I don’t know if it actually works or not.

Might work, but my cats hate it

I wanted this to work so badly because the reviews are great. But I had to give it 4 stars because my cats hate it. One of them throws up the food every time I include it. I’ve tried with both wet and dry food.Hope it works for others!

    Pump not the best

I’ve purchased this before and will continue to purchase because I think the product is benefiting my dogs. But I’m not a fan of the new pump top. I love the idea but at least the one I was sent slowly peaks like half a pump between each use. So it’s messy and wastes product. Hoping I just got a faulty pump?

    Fish Oil For Healthy Fur

4 Dogs with 4 luscious flowing coats … no complaints from them! They also like that this fish oil gives their dry food a little moisture, flavor and taste!

    Must be great tasting!

Both my Siberian Husky & Siamese cat love this salmon oil! Though they both now have fishy breath. It is wonderful for itchy skin & is seemingly making for a shinier coat.

    Taste

My dog loves this stuff, and after awhile you can really tell the difference it makes of his coat.

    Cats Love It

I use this oil for my cats – they love it on the wet and dry food. One of my cats has a dander issue, and this helps keep it manageable. When I give it to him consistently he is less flaky. Trying to keep up a good routine for them as they get a little older to keep their Jo units in good health. So far it seems to be helping.

    Great for itchy skin

My dog has significantly stopped getting itchy. It really helps with the skin and her cost is softer and brighter. Happier dog def 🐶

    Soft coat!

I was skepticle on this cause I’ve been giving my GS chewables in a different brand that I dont notice any changes with but still tried this anyways. HAPPY I did!It does not help with the itch however, his coat feels like he just had a bath.

The bottle was leaking when I received the package

The bottle was really sticky and it was leaking. The seal was still on though so I don’t know how this happened. Not sure how much product was lost but it didn’t look like too much so I decided to keep it anyways

    Game changer for shedding

I have a Shiba Inu that was shedding worse than ever. My vet recommended fish oil. After researching several, I decided on this one. Omg!!! This has been life changing. Her shedding has dramatically decreased. Her coat is so soft, silky and shiny! No more daily vacuuming!

    Salmon oil

This is my second time ordering this product. It really has done a whole 360 on my dog with her hair with her shedding. Her hair looks very shiny less shedding.

2 out of 3 cats like it

I got this for my long-haired cat who gets hairballs and sheds a lot. He won’t eat his food if I put it on it, but the other 2 love it. But it seems like a good quality product. I’ve had similar products before for dogs and they work well.
